IBM Lotus Solutions Specialist

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science.
• Pleasant personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Analytical and ability to work independently and well under pressure.
• Computer literate with knowledge of IBM Lotus portfolio of products focusing on Messaging & Collaboration.
• Prior experience/basic knowledge in the areas of project management, hardware, backup and security will have an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities:

• Product installation both on- and off-site, including configuration and software upgrade as define in the project’s scope of work.
• Install, configure and implement solution/products in multi-platform that the company chooses to sell, implement and support for the customers.
• Proper documentation upon completion of product installation based on documentation template provided.
• Update internal knowledge databases on all product installation and services provided.
• Managing Hotline System request from customer to troubleshoot issues on phone or on-site for maintenance or ad-hoc customers.
• Response to hotline request from customer to troubleshoot issues onsite for customers under maintenance.
• Attend to scheduled preventive maintenance tasks for customer’s who are under maintenance contract.
• Self study and perform R&D to upgrade existing skill and acquire new skills in product implementation.
• Work with project manager/lead to ensure a smooth implementation of projects.
• To assist the pre-sales team in conducting product demo/POC of Lotus.
• Domino product portfolio and relevant software as carried by the company.
• Study or gain work experience towards achieving the relevant software certification as required by the company.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in AIX/Linux infrastructure support and implementation.
• Pleasant personality with excellent inter personal and communication skills.
• Analytical and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Prior knowledge and experience of project management, storage infrastructure ad familiarity with IBM systems and storage will have an added advantage
• Those with other Unix background (Solaris or HP UX) are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities:

• AIX (Power), Linux & Storage base solution installation at customer site, including configuration and software upgrade as define in the project’s scope of work.
• Installing, configuring and implementing AIX(Power), Linux & Storage based solutions and related software and hardware that the company chooses to sell
• Prepare project documentation upon completion of solution installation & implementation.
• Providing service order to customer detailing the work done and get a sign-off from the customer.
• Update knowledge databases on AIX, Linux & Storage product installation and services provided.
• Attend to hot line request from customer to troubleshoot AIX(Power),Linux & Storage technical issues over the phone or on-site.
• Self study and perform R&D to upgrade existing skill and acquire new skills in AIX(Power),Linux & Storage  solution base implementation.
• To perform scheduled preventive maintenance for customer’s with maintenance contract on AIX(Power), Unix or Storage.
• To assist pre-sales team in setup demo and detail technical consultancy of AIX(Power), Linux & Storage related products.
• Achieving AIX(Power),Linux & Storage certification by principal.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in IT or Business Management with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge in IBM Power P series/System X and Storage Systems with proven track records.
• Pleasant personality with excellent inter personal and communication skills.
• Analytical and the ability to work independently and under pressure.

• Manage and conduct demonstration and proof-of-concept to clients.
• Continuously acquire new and latest IT product knowledge.
• Obtain technical certification on assigned products.
